EJS: Landing Page Facelift

ejs.co has looked more or less the same for years. There's a wordmark, a four-word tagline, and a lot of olive green. What it never gets around to is what EJS actually does, or why you would pick it over the alternatives. The only thing promoted above the fold is a different project. The Jake banner sits above EJS's own logo. Twenty million people install this library every week and the page tells them almost nothing about it.

I led with a plain statement of what the library does, generate HTML with plain JS, and put the install command right under it in a chip you can copy. The numbers that make the case on their own are on the page for the first time: 20M+ weekly downloads, 7.7k stars, zero dependencies. I also built the two pages a one-screen site had nowhere to put. Support sends a question to Stack Overflow or GitHub Issues, and the docs have an on-this-page rail so the reference is something you can move around in. The olive green stays, since it is what people recognise, but it runs as a band and an accent instead of the whole canvas.
